Go day is 10th July - the beginning of my 320 days adventure around the world.

Getting excited.  Getting a bit stressed.
Getting itchy feet, need to get going already...

Stedelijk Museum

Go to this if you go to Amsterdam.  When I go back later in the year, I will definitely re-visit it.  There was a temporary Mike Kelley exhibition on when I went last weekend too.

Staying in the Museum Quarter was a good choice.

My Name As Though It Were Written In The Moon, Bruce Nauman, 1969.

 Orange Object, Egil Jacobsen, 1943

FOAM

My souvenir from the amazing photography gallery in Amsterdam, Foam.
The poster came off a block of papers, like a giant notebook.  When they were all stuck together, the edges had an image printed on them.  You can just make out the contribution my page made.

SPARTA

Holland trip \ 2010 (?)
Looking forward to returning to Amsterdam this weekend - it has been a few years since I last went.
This time I travelling on my own, so there will be no distractions, I can fully absorb the city.
I may even rent a bike one day to check it all out...

Parc des Buttes Chaumont

one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to

Such a magical place - waterfalls, streams, hills, trees...
There was an Oriental, rustic woodland feel to the enchanting park

Jardin du Luxembourg

Jardin du Luxembourg - a beautiful space, with lots of interesting tree growths, statues, water features and joggers...

The Medici Fountain ~
 Stunning.

As part of a current exhibition there are a series of 25 artworks displayed on the outside railings of the gardens.
I visited on my 2nd day, so my French was still a little rusty and I couldn't quite translate the purpose of the artworks.  Not that I felt they needed a reason to be there.

They all seemed to hold a political meaning, or message of great significance.
Here are a few which really called out to me.
